There are many people, worldwide, who have gold, diamonds or other minerals on 'their land', in need of development.  In 99% of such instances, there is insufficient mineral resource to make an economically viable operation. 

The reported resource is usually being promoted by an individual with personal ties to the location of interest and he will do whatever he can to create the illusion that there is money to be made, whether there is or not.

This is where MinEx helps the prospective investor, who has discovered an opportunity, to evaluate the overall business risks to pursue it.  We have frequently seen investment in time and capital on a significant scale when the resource is completely unviable or other factors make exploitation impossible.

Due diligence is the process of considering all the factors surrounding the prospect, to see if there is a way forward to developing it into a mining reality.  Due diligence is often done with minimal funding and under difficult conditions.  MinEx Associates understand this and are, through experience, supersensitive to the issues involved with investigating an area at the early stages.

This usually involves performing the following series of steps which MinEx usually have performed within one month.

    *1 - Check the existence of the resource and determine quality and quantity are likely to be promising.

     2 - Check the legal and accountancy parameters and clarify steps to obtaining permits to mine.

     3 - Establish a rapport with Government Mining Officials, local landowners and existing miners.

     4 - Investigate all other available targets in the region to determine if a better one is available.

     5 - Establish a clear plan for expenditure to quantify and develop the project (if viable).

*Some basic geological assessment and sample evaluation will be required to establish '1' above.
